Lets Face it.

 These are this terms portraits.

We looked together at the proportions of a face. Then the children used these wonderful photographs from National georgaphic , to draw a portrait. They used the information gleened in the lesson.

Then, we painted, using Fauvist ideas on colour.

Simply delightful. The process was really growing and the results were fun and funky!!

Wired for fun -- Part Two

Some of the younger children found bending the wire just too tricky and so we opted for the pastercine version. These are really inspiring!!

Some children made both wire and plastercine shoes. I loved this art project. It challenged children beyond their comfort zone , was inspiring and creative.

wielding wire!

This art class was all about line. We looked at line and what it is.... taking a dor for a walk of course:) Children drew a continuous line drawing of a shoe. They then bent and folded wire into 3D shoes.

To work with the wire the child had to really perservere; bravely ask for help  and be satasfied with failure!!
