This was one of my most enjoyable lessons. The children had to create a pattern of sorts using natural objects.
We looked at the beautiful sculptures of Graham Goldsworthy first and then the children set to work creating their very own unique nature art.
Then, they had to draw what they had created.
These were absolutely beautiful.
This is a blog about kids and art. We have enormous fun in our classes. We learn along the journey with art... we learn about art and what it is and we explore those artisits who have gone before us. I work from the premise that ALL people can learn how to draw. I hope you feel inspired by some of these ideas just as you have inspired us in some of the projects we have taken on.

Geometric
This was a fabulous session of art.
Each child had to trace a shape and then using a ruler ( we seldom use rulers in art), We drew lines from corner to corner. The variety of shapes created inside the hexagon were then painted.
Using colour and black and white the children created these gems
